I just wanted to say Happy Mommy's Day to my mom!
This a picture of my mom and dad in Hawaii last year. We went with them and had a blast. They are going back for their 40th anniversary this year. We were going to go again too, but decided it was too extravagant to go two years in a row. Plus, they should have a little time alone together, even though they would love it if we went.
I don't have any kids; however I do have a godson, CJ. He gives me mommy's day gifts and cards. And since I can't have any kids of my own, he is really special to me. His birthday was this week and this picture was taken at his party. He's three and loves trains.

I don't have any kids of my own either so I steal 'em where I can. My girlfriend Adrienne's son (Jessie) loved trains, so we went on all sorts train trips. There's a train ride from Felton into Santa Cruz that's fabulous, and the Skunk Train from Fort Bragg to Willits and a there's a train museum (they have an unbelievable number of old/interesting/unusual train cars) off Hwy 12 near the Jelly Belly factory (which we also had to go through. Since it was there and all.)
Clearly, you need to visit California.
