Poetry Monday

Here is one of my favorite poems by ee cummings: "Grasshopper". It is a puzzle just to read it, but I love how he forces your eyes and mind to behave like the poem's namesake.

By the way, I really really hate grasshoppers.

If you don't get the picture, don't ask.

Ewww - I hate grasshoppers too. Any bugs that can leap onto me from seemingly a mile away is the worst in my book. Worse than spiders. I'm totally not going to tell you about the grasshopper infestation I lived through - except, walking through fields with bugs like popcorn all around. Shudder.

But I did have a crush on a certain "grasshopper" when he played John the poet on Little House on the Prairie - you know, the one who was engaged to Mary Ingalls. Did you know that was him??

Grasshoppers are fine, so long as they're not hoppin' on me.

That is a difficult poem to read. : )

Ah, the old Kung Fu days.

I hope you have been having a wonderful week.

Ah, my old crush. And I do mean old, lol. That is a terrible poem! Not that spelling and ee cummings drives me mad.

Radames Pera? Well, that has to be the grasshopper in Little House on the Prairie. David Carradine's a bit old for Mary Ingalls. Whatever happened to him, anyway?

Did you find your aunt's letter?

That spiral bag looks fine to me but then again, so far I haven't done anything with my leftover yarn than make some charity squares or (mostly) keep 'em.
