Estes Park Wool Market

I got my registration confirmation for the Estes Park Wool Market today. I am signed up for a two day course in Beginning Wheel Spinning. I am so excited. I don't have a spinning wheel, but I called the instructor and I am going to rent one for the class for $5.

Isn't this beautiful! I am sure it is very expensive. I'll see how the class goes, and I may just start shopping for one. I know absolutely nothing about spinning at the momment, so it wouldn't make much sense to buy one now.

That sounds like so much fun!

What, you have to know what you're doing before you buy? Who knew?

I think you'll really enjoy the instructor!

And a tip on wheel shopping at the market -- you may wish to be sure to wear slip on shoes at least for the period where you want to try wheels there as they ask you to remove your shoes first. It makes it a bit easier and quicker.

As close as we are to the market waiting to buy a wheel makes sense because you can then try several makes and models at the market before making a decision on what you want to buy.

Last summer I got the spinning bug. Almost bought a spinning wheel...but didn't get one. Starting to feel that bug again as well as the desire to maybe hand dye something of my own. I may just end up getting a hand spindle instead. Hope you have fun at the class. I hope to attend the wool fest on Sunday, but since I will be arriving home on Saturday from a week at the beach, I just may be too tired to do it. Have fun!

Sounds like fun. I did not sign up for any classes myself but I plan on heading to the market. What a beautiful wheel.
