Spectrum Saturday

This week I made a Project Spectrum inspired scrapbook page for my Godson, CJ. I used the scrapbook materials I had, which weren't many.

CJ's Scrapbook Page

He has his own scrapbook. I try to add only a few pages a year, hoping that I can get a lot of years in one book. I especially like the picture in the top right, the one with the Nemo sticker on his forehead. He usually has a bruise on that spot. He falls down a lot.

Here's some yarn that is just waiting for me to knit something. The yellow is Alpaca Silk. The orange yarns are Waterspun (do they make this anymore?) and Hemp06. I thought I'd knit a beanie out of the Hemp06 and might try a cupcake from One Skein out of the yellow Alpaca Silk.

And here's one more pic. for Project Spectrum. This is a picture of a huge butterfly that my hubby took this week. Does anyone know what kind it is?

What a lovely butterfly! That yarn is very pretty too. I don't know what kind of butterfly that is...

Hey you have a black swallowtail butterfly there! Very cool! The caterpillar that turns into a swallow tail butterfly likes to eat dill plants and carrot tops! I always plant a few extra of those plants in my butterfly garden. They have those neat orange eyes at the inside bottom of their wings. It is supposed to scare their predators. I believe I read that the swallow tail species is dimming because of increased garden pesticides.
