Here is a picture of a yarn skein that I made on my drop spindle--my very first one. It is only 50 yards, but I love the colors. I spun it from some silk and wool roving that I got as part of my beginning wheel spinning class.
I think I am hooked.
I am working on a blue skein now.

Lovely first yarn! Great job!
What a great hat that would make.
Trying to keep my willpower up and not learn to spin....
It's beautiful!!
Makes me want to drop spin... :)
Oooo that is pretty!
Amanda :)
Hooked line and spindle! It looks gorgeous, Jenni! I love the colors. Did you dye it too?
Jenni...I love the colors. The red pops for the yarn. Very cool. I love to spin, I just never find the time as much as I want to. Keep up the great work.
That looks great, Jenni! You may have enough to do a headband ear warmer or some fingerless gloves, depending upon the thickness of the yarn. That is pretty good yardage for a drop spindle. What fun! :-)
Lovely! Excellent job!
Hi Jenni
I love your first skein. I've been plying solo with my wheel for the first time this week, but my drop spindles are full and I'm plucking up the courage to ply that soon. Did you find it easy?
